Day Services

Supported Employment provides several types of employment that afford individuals with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to work in a job that is specifically appropriate for them. The different types of supported employment are:

  • Individual Placement is for individuals who are hired at a company with the same benefits as other employees. A Progress job coach is on site to offer the supports  necessary to enable the individual to be successful in his/her placement.
  •  Employment Network expands on the current employment services provided to people with intellectual disabilities to include employment supports for people with all types of  disabilities both intellectual and physical. for people who have disabilities.  In addition to  supporting individuals with in community based work with intermittent or full time job coaching, as competitive employment is identified, Progress provides job placement, job  coaching, stabilization and follow along services for people with a broader range of  disabilities.

Day Program & Community-Based Services allow individuals to experience all aspects of community living through cultural outings, social enrichment opportunities and volunteer activities. These programs at Progress have a valuable impact on the people receiving those services as well as a profitable impact on our common community. Individuals gain a sense of self worth, while their activities supporting local theaters, restaurants, museums, grocery stores, clothing shops, and other businesses create financial benefits for the community. This very special union is mutually beneficial and affords people with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to be active, productive citizens.
