Work at Progress

Progress' employment needs and open positions change often due to various factors. Having said that, we are always accepting applications. Listed below are descriptions of the two classes of employees that any open position would fall into. It is very important to make sure all applicants specify EXACTLY what their availability is on the first page of the application so that a hiring supervisor can match you with current needs.

An overview of employee benefits can be found at the bottom of this page. Progress offers many benefits to full and part-time staff.

Progress employs support personnel in both the Senior Services Division and the Intellectual / Developmental Disabilities Division.  Both classifications of employees consist of part-time and full-time positions.

Project SEARCH Job Coach - Train individuals with disabilities in various jobs within a healthcare office environment for Project SEARCH. Hours are M-F, 8am-4pm and pay is $10-$11 per hour.

Senior Care Attendants (SCA) – perform personal care and or homemaker duties in our Senior Care Division.  These positions usually begin as part-time.

Direct Support Professionals (DSP) – Support developmentally disabled adults with daily living activities in a day / community based setting or residential (home) setting.  These DSP positions may be 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, part or full-time.  DSP's may work in a day program, community, job coach, or residential setting.  Live-In Companions are hired as the primary support staff for each client and reside in the home with the client.

Application Procedure

We retain all applications as ACTIVE for 90 days.  Once you've submitted an application, if a hiring manager has an available position (within 90 days of your submission) and your availability and experience match their need then they may contact you for the next step, an interview.  Please DO NOT call for any updates to the status of your application because there is no information that can be provided until you've been contacted further for an interview.

We accept applications Monday through Friday from 9am – 4pm at our Ezell Pike location.  You may also print an application and fax it to: attention HR at 615-365-0259.  Please ALWAYS follow all directions on the application and complete the form in its entirety.  Make SURE to specify EXACTLY what position you are applying for and what your availability is on the first page of the application.
