Pamela Styles, Salute to Excellence Finalist

Pamela Styles, Companion to three individuals supported by Progress, was selected as a finalist for the Center for Nonprofit Management's annual Salute to Excellence Awards, Erie Chapman Foundation Radical Loving Care Award.

Pamela performs all duties one can imagine are required for caring for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. Not only does she perform duties like cooking meals, cleaning, helping with hygiene and bathing, she is committed to the well-being and quality of life of the individuals she supports, and views them as family. She is devoted to enriching their lives – from decorating the entire house together for the holidays, singing favorite songs together, playing games and puzzles, cooking their favorite meals, whatever the act, their happiness is her priority.

Pamela demonstrates radical love in everything she does in supporting Robert, Carl and Paige to live safely and independently, and her recognition is well-deserved.
