Progress Report - Spring 2023
Congressman John Rose visits Progress
Progress recently hosted a visit by Tennessee Congressman John Rose. During the visit, he toured the Progress campus, learned more about the necessary services Progress provides for people with disabilities and seniors in Middle Tennessee, and met some of the people we support. He shared publicly, “One of the joys of representing you in Congress is getting to see all the important work going on in the 6th District. Progress has several programs aimed at helping people with disabilities as well as seniors. I enjoyed getting to know the team that makes it all happen….”
Employment Success
Employment Programs at Progress help individuals explore options, gain skills, and achieve goals. James is passionate about cars and landed a job at a local auto shop. He's proud of where he's headed, and we are too!
"I'm proud of myself, I want everyone to see what I've been working on." In his job at the auto shop, James assists the mechanic as he works on the cars, and performs other tasks like taking garbage out and cleaning up outside. He's learning new skills daily, sharing, "I like coming and helping, I want to learn how to do it." James is passionate about cars, and this job means a lot to him. He is a hard worker, and shared, "If I work, I'm gonna work!"

New Trees on Campus
Progress was recently awarded a grant of 25 trees through the Cumberland River Compact's Root Nashville. The program's purpose is to replant the community’s tree canopy to provide all the numerous benefits trees offer – improved air quality, cleaner water, absorption of noise, shade, and beauty. We are so grateful for the incredible beauty that has been added to our campus!
New Website
Notice anything different around here? Progress unveiled a new website! The new website offers everything the former website had, but in a more user-friendly and refreshed format. This new site is also mobile friendly, so if you’re viewing this on your mobile device, it should be easy to navigate.
The new website has been in development for many months, and we are pleased to share our work and services in this updated format.
